May 31st, 2019 Lederhosen Pours Last Beer
Lederhosen will be pouring its last beer on May 31st, 2019. For the past decade we’ve had the pleasure of serving the best group of customers – no, family – a bar could ask for. Our cozy little corner of Germany in the West Village has become a home away from home for us and we wouldn’t trade one second of our time here for the world. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for letting us be a part of your lives throughout the years.
Unfortunately, the time has come where rent and the daily grind just don’t add up anymore, a New York thread that is now far too common. But rather than raise prices or offer anything less than the best German food and beer in NYC to make ends meet, we decided now’s the right time to walk away with nothing but the best memories, ready to start the next chapter of our lives. We started out as an affordable place for friends to meet and enjoy amazing German fare and we will stay that way until the end.
So, don’t be sad! Remember – this isn’t auf wiedersehen, but bis später. Come out and see us over the next two weeks and raise your steins high as we remember the good times. Bis bald and Prost!
Danke Uli und Dirk
Welcome to Lederhosen German Wurst und Bierhaus
For those of you who have never been here, Lederhosen is an indoor German beerhall in New York City. We’re located at 39 Grove Street in the West Village. We serve the best German food in NYC and the finest German beers as well. From German tap beer favorites such as Köstritzer Schwarzbier, Warsteiner and Hofbräuhaus to hard to find bottles of Schneider Aventinus, Kulmbacher Eisbock and Spaten Optimator, if you’re looking for German beer in NYC, there’s only one place to go: Lederhosen.
The Most Authentic German Food and Beer in New York City
Unlike many of these new NYC beer gardens that cater to people looking for the overpriced hipster or superficial foodie experience, we pride ourselves on serving 100% authentic German food and beer. Plus, our extensive selection of German spirits such as Jagermeister, Goldwasser, Stroh 80, Underberg and Kuemmerling will help you wash down all of that wurst, sauerkraut and spaetzle.
Best Priced German Food in NYC
And if you’re still not convinced that Lederhosen NYC is the best German beer garden in New York City, consider the fact that our food prices are the most reasonable and affordable out of all of our competition. Go ahead, check out our prices and the amount of food you get against our competition—we guarantee that our prices are lower, our food is tastier and our portions are bigger.
Relaxed Atmosphere and Friendly People
Plus, you won’t have to deal with drunk frat bros—though our 2L Das Boot full of beer might make you drink like one. For those who love sports, we have four televisions always tuned into whatever you want, plus a 100+ inch projection screen in our back beer hall that we pull out for the big games! Throwing a private party or business meeting? We do those. Want to just belly up to a dark, cozy, old-school bar and knock back some cold German beers in a Bavarian setting? No problem. How about snuggling up by the fireplace on some leather couches in our front area? We have that too!
